Container sealing

As the leading global provider of container sealing solutions, Selig’s liners and seals protect packaged goods and instill consumer confidence.

The product range

Selig’s container sealing solutions use foil, film, board, paper, foam and polymer, with solvent based, water based, heat and extrusion laminating processes.

Lift ‘n’ Peel™

An easy-open seal with an ergonomic polyester tab that needs no additional processing or equipment.

CORESEAL™

Two-piece polymer bonded liner with a foam backing that allows the closure to enter a single stream recycling operation.

DELTASEAL™

Aluminum foil with a heat seal layer on pulp reseal board; the temporary polymer lamination eliminates wax.

FoilSeal™

One and two-piece induction innerseals engineered to seal almost any package.

Safe-Gard™

Two-piece liners that glue into the cap or insert behind a retention feature, with no cap redesign.

Top Tab™

Two-piece induction liner with a built-in half-moon tab.

Uni-Gard™

One piece induction seals for higher operating speeds and wider operating parameters.

OenoSeal™

EPE foam liners with oxygen barriers such as tin or saran, to protect and age ROPP capped wines.

QUADRASEAL™

Foil/glassine membrane glued to the finish, with a white-lined board that stays in the closure as a reseal liner.

ALPHASEAL™

Traditional closure liner materials in unbleached virgin wood pulp or folding box board.

CORELEN™

EPE and EPP foam lining materials for general purpose closure lining or wadding.

Esterfoam™

Reseal liner with a foam core and PET film on both sides, compatible with induction heat.

Esterfoil™

Clear PET coated aluminum foil that can be printed for brand impact.

Lasan Polyester II™

Multi-purpose lining combining PET/PVDC with exceptional chemical resistance on a pulp backing.

TRESYLENE™

Three-ply opaque white EPP or EPE foam liner for a high-quality visual aesthetic.

Uni-Foam™

EPE and EPP foam lining materials for plastic and ROPP metal closures.

Uni-Foam™ PS

Polystyrene foam with a torque activated pressure sensitive adhesive, for dry products only.

Uni-Foam US™

EPE three-ply foam reseal liner with a smooth white surface for cosmetics or liquids.

DUOSEAL™

Induction bonding material that can eliminate threads or features used to fasten one package component to another.

PortionPeel™

Dispenses product from a sealed container in a safe and controlled manner, as an alternative to molded inserts.

AirFoil™

Proprietary vented heat-induction liner system that lets plastic containers “breathe”.

Circumvent™

Vented foam liners that can be integrated into almost any foam liner material.

VentShield™

Venting for paneling not solved by standard vents; works with creams, lotions and essential oils.

ScentVent™

Lets consumers sample a fragrance in an induction-sealed package without removing the seal.

TempVent™

Equalizes pressure as hot- or warm-filled product cools, allowing lighter-weight containers.

Identifying your product’s sealing needs

Consider the product’s characteristics, its container, regulations and consumer needs to hone in on the best solution.

Product characteristics

Identify your product’s end-market use and characteristics (dry, liquid, oxygen-sensitive, etc.). Liners are designed to ensure the product’s integrity from manufacturing through consumption.

Container materials

Identify the container material early, particularly for induction seals, because the heat seal layer depends on what it must bond to: polypropylene (PP), polyester (PET), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE) or glass.

Removal characteristics

Clean Peel

The entire liner peels away in one piece, leaving the opening clean and clear of residue.

Tamper Evidence

The liner peels away but leaves a residue on the opening, showing visual evidence of entry.

Pierceable

A finger can easily puncture, tear, or break the seal, leaving visual evidence of entry.

Puncture Resistant

Must be cut to gain entry. Includes a barrier layer to protect the foil.
