Selig’s strength and experience began in 1890 as a container sealing solutions company. The liner business was introduced as Selig in 1972, and several acquisitions and technology developments have expanded our footprint to serve customers globally.

1972
Selig established as an independent company
The Selig name is established with a focus on container sealing, offering compression-sealed liners and seals using the newly developed induction sealing technology.
2008
Unipac joins the Selig family
Selig adds the consumer-preferred Lift ‘n’ Peel™ technology, raising expectations for seal integrity and convenience.
2011
ISCO joins the Selig family
Expansion into flexible packaging complemented our container sealing capability and provided synergies to our manufacturing.
2021
PSI joins the Selig family
Venting technology expertise added for containers that would otherwise bloat or shrink due to product formulations or shipping conditions.
2022
MGJ joins the Selig family
Industry-leading foam-based sealing solutions Oenoseal™ and Tresylene™ join the Selig line-up.
